Jha where approached by the New Covenant Church to assist with the conversion of the Charles Lamb Institute which they had recently purchased. The grade II listed building had been used as a gymnasium in recent years. The initial brief was to prepare a scheme based on the church’s detailed requirements and to obtain planning permission for a change of use to ‘A Place of Worship’. The project was then to provide detailed information to enable the works to be priced and undertaken through to completion.
