Meet the team

Jonathan Hosker

Jonathan founded the company in 1990 having been encouraged by clients to establish his own company. Jonathan had previously worked for a number of London based design and architectural practices, on both high end refurbishments, as well blue chip clients such as Unilever and Nuffield Hospitals. From the outset, Jonathan was keen to form a company which provided design excellence, while at the same time provided intelligent practical solutions. These objectives have remained constant and have been enhanced as the company has grown by adopting a policy of employing staff with complementary skills, thereby, enabling JHA to undertake a broad spectrum of projects. Jonathan is on the board of trustees for ‘Beyond Ourselves’, a Christian based charity aiming to help the underprivileged, both in the UK and abroad. Jonathan has been known to jump off the side of a mountain with just a parachute and a Frenchman strapped to his back!

Wan Chow

Wan has been with JHA for over 10 years after having worked for Robert Adam Architects and Ferguson and Shamanian, where part of his time was spent on secondment to New York.

Wan has a degree in architecture and is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists. As well as being a very capable technician, Wan has been responsible for developing JHA’s 3D capabilities and CAD management systems. He has also been tasked with keeping all staff members up to date with developments in both Sketchup and Autocad.

A keen computer gamester on Nintendo Wii. He also enjoys DIY and downhill cycling!

Audrey Thomas

Audrey previously worked for the International Gospel Church where she played a key administrative role in managing the functions of the church. She has joined Jha to assist with managing the company’s finances as well as streamlining the operation of the company. She has a plethora of interests outside Jha and allegedly makes a superb rum cake!

Samvel Simonyan

Samvel is currently undertaking an Architectural Apprenticeship course at London South Bank University to obtain his Part III qualification for 1 day a week. As part of this process he is being trained by Jha to understand the realities of working in an architectural practice so that he can put the theory into practice. He has a keen interest in automobiles and as a result drives the most prestigious car in the company!

Julian Whiting

Julian is a connector of people and brings a certain gravitas to the company. In a previous life he has been a police officer and an event’s organiser, both in the UK, and internationally. Julian is tenacious and dedicated to his role and an extremely loyal individual and a valued member of the team. Outside Jha Julian is a formidable bass in his church choir and a keen cricketer. He is also active nationally in raising standards in safeguarding.

Abraham Steward

Abraham joined Jha in 2022 after graduating with a 1st class honours degree in Architecture from Leicester. He is a welcome addition to the team who fully understands and shares the ethos and core values of the company. He is both, a talented designer and person who understands construction principles to enable a scheme to be buildable. He has a incredibly inquisitive mind and likes to know how everything fits together. He is regular park runner in London and a keen interest in statistics and has sadly worked out that he will spend 7 days a year underground on his commute!

Emma Trett

Emma is the most recent addition to the team. She has a degree in exhibition design and comes with a great gift of organisation and administration. She is a delight to have in the office and a joy to be around. Her role is evolving in the company as the company expands, however, her unique skillset is already proving to be invaluable.
